Simplepresenttense
Simple present tense adalah tenses yang digunakan ketika suatu kejadian sedang berlangsung saat ini atau kejadian yang berlangsung berulang kali (kebiasaan).

Penjelasan:
Simple Past Tense adalah tense dalam bahasa Inggris yang dipergunakan ketika menceritakan sesuatu yang dikerjakan atau terjadi di masa lampau (masa sebelum saat ini).
Misalnya kita hendak mengatakan Saya membeli sebuah novel, tapi saya membelinya Sabtu kemarin (masa lampau), maka dalam bahasa Inggris tense yang dipakai adalah simple past tense.
Kalimatnya adalah: I bought a novel last Saturday.
Dengan simple past tense ini, walaupun kalimatnya tidak menyebut soal waktu secara spesifik, tapi dengan penggunaan tense ini pendengar atau pembaca akan segera memahami bahwa yang sedang dibicarakan adalah sesuatu yang terjadi di masa lampau.
Misalnya: I bought a novel
Walaupun tidak dijelaskan kapan si penulis membeli novel itu, pembaca memahami bahwa dia membelinya di masa lampau.
Simple Present Tense adalah tense yang dipakai untuk menceritakan atau membicarakan suatu peristiwa atau keadaan yang:
- bersifat umum atau kebenaran umum
- terjadi berulang-ulang / kebiasaan
- bersifat ajakan atau perintah
Simple Present Continuous Tense dipergunakan untuk menceritakan suatu kejadian yang pada saat ini (pada saat si pembicara mengucapkan kalimat ini) masih tengah berlangsung (belum selesai / belum usai).
